Here is a naturally sweet Fender Jazz Bass made In Japan between 1990-91. If you'd love a J-Bass with tons of sonic mojo and all the vibe of a vintage piece, with almost zero wear and tear, then this reissue will tickle your fancy. We have a lot of instruments come through our shop here at The Guitar Dude, but sometimes there's a piece that captures your attention in a special way. This J-Bass is an absolute classic and the attention to detail and craftsmanship is what draws us in... The bridge pickup has a precise and inherently powerful tone that perfectly contrasts the neck pickups warmth and bloom. Some of the best tones to be found on this bass are in the varied multitude of sounds produced by the blending of the two pickups. The versatility cannot be overstated, as the bass works well for any style. A beautiful ash is resonant with a balanced weight and rich sustain. The one piece maple neck has a comfortable C profile and is handsomely adorned with binding and block pearloid position markers that beautifully accent the rosewood fretboard. The neck is straight, but the truss rod has little room left to turn.(maybe half a turn) The headstock has a period correct block logo decal and vintage-style clover button tuners. Cosmetically, the instrument is in excellent condition with no dings, dents or scratches. This is a great J-Bass that is destined to bring one lucky player years of sonic bliss.
This guitar is professionally set up and dialed in for optimal tone and playability. It has low action with no buzzing or dead spots and is an absolute joy to play. It has been deep cleaned and detailed. All guitars will arrive looking and playing great. The frets have been leveled / dressed / polished and the fingerboard was cleaned. (Unfinished Rosewood and Ebony boards get treated with Fret Doctor - a proprietary all natural oil that is the best on the market) It has brand new strings, the action was adjusted, the intonation is spot on and it plays excellent. All the electronics work flawlessly.
