Grab a neck brace cause once you plug this bad-ass in you're gonna be going full blown head-banging. This Japanese made 1980's Charvel Model 5 has the looks and versatility that any metalhead could ask for. This beast is a rare find and is seldom seen outside Japan. The rock hard black finish, single J-95 pickup,  black hardware, dark chocolate rosewood fingerboard (24 frets) with neck-through construction, and classic Charvel headstock make this a simple, yet ultimately rad guitar. This killer player has been well taken care of and is in pretty excellent cosmetic condition, (for its age) showing only minor playwear and a clean, yet gently broken in look and feel that will let you rock out worry free. There are a handful of small dings and light surface scratches. (see pics) It has a comfortable and super fast neck that is ideal for quick riffing or flat out shredding. It has a single, super powerful humbucker to cut through any mix and a pair of well balanced killer sounding single coils that deliver plenty of punch and also clean up extremely well. It features a 25.5" scale, with a very comfortable, fast neck profile typical of Jackson or Charvel guitars. Great access to higher positions. The guitar is perfect in its simplicity - one Jackson J-95 pickup, one volume knob. The bridge is a good quality Jackson JT6 Vibrato that holds the tuning very well, stock Jackson tuners, with a locking nut. It has a killer set up and plays effortlessly. It is truly ready to hit the stage or studio!
This guitar is professionally set up and dialed in for optimal tone and playability. It has low action with no buzzing or dead spots and is an absolute joy to play. It has been deep cleaned and detailed. All guitars will arrive looking and playing great. The frets have been leveled / dressed / polished and the fingerboard was cleaned. (Unfinished Rosewood and Ebony boards get treated with Fret Doctor - a proprietary all natural oil that is the best on the market) It has brand new strings, the action was adjusted, the intonation is spot on and it plays excellent. All the electronics work flawlessly.
